The mountains are calling…
Hiking as an excuse to take photos > taking photos as an excuse to go hiking > hiking as an excuse to take photos >…
Howdy! My name is Chris Williams. Thanks for checking out Mountain Shots Photography. Consider this to be my humble effort at sharing some of the beauty I’ve been fortunate enough to see while out in The Mountains.
I’m what I like to call a run-and-gun landscape/adventure photographer. The long climbing and hiking requirements mean that there often isn’t time to hang about and hope for better conditions- “Ya works with what ya gots”. This often means that I go home with no photos I consider “print-worthy”, but it also makes the standouts feel even more special to me. The sky wasn’t swapped out with Photoshop dark magic. The image wasn’t dreampt up by AI algorithm. If you see a print of mine, you’ll know that I hiked and camped to get to that view… and you’ll know that what you’re seeing is what I saw.
I’ve lived and worked in Southeast Alaska for over 20 years… railroading, hiking, and photographing the amazing Coast Mountains. When I’m “Outside”, you can find me in the desert Southwest… but always with my eyes fixed on the mountains.
Cheers!
