Dwarf fireweed blooming on the moraine of the Laughton Glacier in Southeast Alaska. There are only two ways to this glacier: catch a White Pass & Yukon Route train to the trailhead or take a helicopter to the trailhead. I’ve worked for the WP&YR for over 20 years, so you can guess the route I took. From there it’s a moderate three mile hike up the fork of the Skagway River and onto the moraine of this lovely little glacier.
8”x12” limited to 100, 12”x18” limited to 50
