Needle Sunrise
Pink light illuminates Needle Valley under a spray of clouds in the Superstition Mountains of Arizona. The pre-dawn glow is just starting to show the rock spires and hoodoos leading up to the volcanic spire of Weaver’s Needle. I had hiked in from 10 miles away and camped at my favorite Needle viewpoint to make sure I didn’t miss the sunrise.
